Screencastify and Google Classroom/Google Drive Fix
Mike Senatore did some testing with Screencastify and Google Classroom/Google Drive. Mike thinks teachers are recording with Screencastify and selecting the “Share to Google Classroom” option, which automatically shares the video in the .WebM format, which does not open natively on an iPad. Instead, please export the video as a .MP4 file, place it in your Google Drive, and then move it to Classroom. Mike contacted Screencastify support to see if there is a way to change the default format when sharing to Google Classroom. Below is Screencastify’s response:
