  • Some scholarships don't have any requirements for additional application documents, is that right?

    YES! Some scholarships are really THAT easy! Unless they specifically say that an essay is needed, then it really is as easy as submitting the application (accompanied by your autobiography).

  • I am trying to submit my application in Google Classroom but am getting an error message

    Sometimes there is a Google Classroom issue with posting items and, instead of getting a confirmation message, you may instead see an error message.

    DO NOT PANIC!

    If this happens, and you are submitting your documents BEFORE THE DEADLINE (i.e. not AT THE DEADLINE or AFTER THE DEADLINE), email localscholarships@eccrsd.us with a list of the ones you are having an issue with and I can confirm that I see your applications on my end!

    The best the Google help site can offer are the following "tips":

    1. Shut down & retart

    2. Access Google Classroom through an internet browser instead of the application

    3. If you are already using an internet browser, try using a different one.

    4. Clear your browser cache and cookies

  • I accidentally added myself into a scholarship that I'm not applying for, how can I remove myself from the room?

    Email localscholarships@eccrsd.us with which scholarship you want to be removed or you can send a private message directly from the scholarship's Google Classroom.

  • Can I leave the Activities portion of applications blank if I will be listing everything in my resume/essay/autobiography?

  • How should I handle Letters of Recommendations?

    All letters of recommendations should be sent to you directly so that you can include them when you submit your application and other documents for the scholarships accordingly. Letters of recommendations are only needed for scholarships that request them.

    IF THE PERSON WRITING THE LETTER OF RECOMMENDATION DOES NOT WANT TO SEND IT TO YOU DIRECTLY, THEY CAN EMAIL it to localscholarships@eccrsd.us and we will make sure it is linked to your application accordingly.

  • What if the person writing my Letter of Recommendation would prefer I not see it?

  • Do I have to complete the same Local Scholarship Application for each one?

  • How do I submit the Autobiography with the Local Scholarship Application?

  • Do I need to submit my Transcript for every scholarship application?

  • Which GPA should I use?

  • My parent has a degree from a college/university but has been a stay at home parent, what should I put for "Occupation"?
